The article is an interesting read.I have heard the idea floated before, but in reailty I don't see it happening any time soon. All media, movies, music and games that come in a physical format are owned once purchased. Therefore the owner has the simple right to either keep, sell or destroy if he wishes to. It would create less than sales I believe rather than generate more sales.

I have heard this floating around as well. It makes a ton of sense though. How often does anyone pay full price for a game besides the first week it's released? (I literally had to sell a brand new MW3 and GOW3 for less than $30 on Amazon because that's the set price) And how many people play burned games with their LT 3.0 consoles? Just think about all the sales Microsoft and Developers are losing out on...
