Yes, I know... Who really looks or cares much about the Wii anymore.. But as this Modding sickness will be with me forever, once I hear about something not working I just cant stop until it works. So, running on a Hard Modded Wii, 4.2, 500gb external. Have both USB Conf Loader and WiiFlow options running and available. When booting up BTTF off dvd, no issues runs fine, when booting off USB it gets to title screen and once you choose a volume to start game, dvd drives spins and returns back to Wii Menu. What makes this even crazier is that now some other games that were verified working, example, Wii Sports Resort, are now doing the same thing, boot from loader and then goes to black screen and back to Wii menu..
I have seen recommendations to update the USB config loader to v70 but and cios but both are current on both machines I have and still this error... Any ideas?

Can you try CFGLoader?
That's the loader I've seen work with the most amount of games. In fact, to be honest, I've never seen it not play a game.

What exact steps have you taken so far to rectify this problem? When you boot off DVD(also what are you using to boot the dvd), is this a retail DVD or a backup? My guess without more details is something with the usb drive, cfg options set, and or ios's.

I agree, first time I am having that issue. When booting off back up, no issue. It almost appears that once you select a option from the game menu it is looking for the disc in the drive, without it there it loops back to Wii menu. I am thinking maybe it is a issue with a CIOS, but at a loss as all other games boot directly off ext hdd and I have seen nothing about a new protection floating around out there

Updated Cios and then changed loading defaults in Conf USB Loader to block reload of IOS and that was the trick..
