Several references to Microsoft's 360 console have been found within the kernel of Windows 8. According to Win8Italia, two strings are present that would lead one to believe that 360 functionality may come packed in with the new OS.
The two strings found in the Windows 8 kernel are as follows: "XBOX_360_SYSTEM_CRASH" and "XBOX_360_SYSTEM_CRASH_RESERVED."
There has been talk of closer integration between both platforms, but to what extent is still unknown. While rumors regarding the ability to play 360 games on a PC may be a possibility, there are a number of other ways Microsoft could go about connecting the two devices. After all, Microsoft wouldn't want to cannibalize 360 sales by eliminating the need for a dedicated gaming platform. But hey, you never know what the future may hold.
