Yeah I just got a macbook 2.4ghz 2gb ram and 160gb hard drive running on snow leopard. I was just wondering are there any cool apps/programs for mac, as I am not familiar with mac too much. Oh and utility apps too.
My big questions is, is antivirus necessary for mac? or recommended?

I've never used anti-firus and personally I don't think it is necessary.

What sort of apps are you looking wanting?

FTP - I use cyberduck of filezilla. Most apps pretty much that are available on windows are on mac as well.

I use visualhub for converting video files, and I also use handbrake for ripping.
